County Lines Intensification Week19th May 2021
This week it is County Lines Intensification Week across Lincolnshire, which focuses on preventing County Lines by making vulnerable people aware of the risks, and to recognise if they are being pressured.
‘County Lines’ is a term used when gangs and drug dealers from one area – generally cities – come to other areas and exploit vulnerable people into dealing drugs, other crime, and exploitation.
The ‘Look Closer’ campaign by Lincolnshire Police and Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Partnership encourages the public to ‘look closer’ at the people around them, which could help spot the signs of vulnerability and exploitation.
They are asking people to ‘look closer’ at the people around them and to ring the Police if there are any concerns.
Take a look at the ‘Are You Listening?’ video which is designed to encourage people to ‘look closer’ at the young and more vulnerable people around them.
