Food Technology Technician

Pay Range: SC4 Point 6 (£17,689) – SC4 Point 8 (£18,729) pro-rata based on a 37.5 hour week (8.00 am – 4.00 pm) / Term time only contract (Pro-Rata Salary £15,127 – £16,017)

to appoint a Food Technology Technician to join our Technology Department to support teachers and students with the cookery provision. Responsibilities will include ordering food supplies and preparing for lessons, working alongside the teachers to assist students during lessons and after school clubs, and also ensuring that Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.

You must be approachable, able to quickly build and establish relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills.  Motivation and an enthusiasm to make a positive difference to our students, the Academy and the wider community are important personal qualities that we are looking for in potential candidates.  You should have detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant safeguarding, welfare and medical legislation / regulations.
