School Closures: Ongoing Prevent Management Support

From the 20th March, schools, colleges and other providers were asked to close to most children and young people to slow the spread of COVID-19. We know schools have a range of questions about what this means, including what impact it has on existing safeguarding duties.

This link https://educateagainsthate.com/blog/posts/school-closures-ongoing-prevent-management-support/ has some really useful information for schools and local authorities relating to;

  • School attendance for children receiving Channel support and who could be classed as vulnerable.
  • Keeping Children safe online
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
  • Extremist Narratives in Communities.
