Year 8 Keeping Safe Day 2019

School News 28th Feb 2019

On Wednesday 13th February 2019, all of our year 8 students had the opportunity to take part in a keeping safe day with workshops on Alcohol Awareness, Fire Safety, Internet Safety, Antisocial Behaviour and Healthy Relationships. Students found the sessions ‘brilliant’ and ‘very helpful and informative’

Staff from the agencies commented on the behaviour of the students as ‘excellent’ and that students were ‘really engaged’.

‘Another great day for the Stay Safe Partnership working with year 8 students at Gainsborough Academy, looking at a variety of topics giving students the information to make better, more informed choices on Healthy Relationships, Fire Safety, Online Safety, Alcohol Awareness and Ant-Social Behaviour.
Great discussion had and good engagement from all students. Can’t wait to come back next year’
