Bake off Competition – Macmillan

This Friday 30th September we will be getting together and raising funds to support Macmillan nurses who help those who are affected by cancer – The Gainsborough Way. This year we are holding our very own Bake Off Competition/bake sale. We would love parents, students and staff to get involved, by baking a cake, bun, or biscuit and enter this in our competition to raise money for Macmillan.

Every sweet treat shared will mean another person facing cancer will have the Macmillan support they need. In 2021 we raised more than £250 for this amazing charity. Let’s see if we can raise even more this year! If you would like to take part in this please contact Mrs Philips to sign up. Let the best baker win!

ON THE DAY – A wide range of sweet treats, cakes, and muffins will be available to purchase in the Library on Friday 30th September during 1st and 2nd break. Prices of sweet treats, cakes, and muffins will range from 20p – £1. A special guest will be judging the delightful treats made by staff, students, and their parents.

This year the academy will also be making a donation of sweet treats, cakes, and biscuits to the local ambulance station and patient transport service once the judging has taken place. This is to say thank you for all and to show our appreciation of the hard work they do out in the community.
