We have been out looking in nature for moss, leaves, and bark for our new African Land Snail classroom pets. Students have been learning about the ideal environment for African Land Snails and even learning how to bathe them.
Students have also been researching cold-water fish and they have been able to create an amazing fish tank for their 11 cold-water fish to live in. Having these pets in BASE at Gainsborough Academy is helping students with life skills as they have to ensure the pet’s environment is clean and well-kept, and that all animals are fed on a daily basis.
