On Tuesday 25th March, a small group of Engineering and Construction students were invited to Eminox for a tour. The students were treated to a comprehensive tour of the factory floor, observing the vast array of machinery in operation, and exploring how sheet materials are used to create the emissions systems for industrial machinery.
The tour took the students to the tool fitters workshop, where they spoke to an apprentice engineer and a team leader. They explored the plans that they used, and the finished products that were created. After the tour, the students were treated to a presentation by the four current apprentices, they looked at the projects they were working on, and discussed their pathways into engineering.
A huge well done to all the students that participated in this visit. Behaviour was exemplary, and all students showed a keen interest in engineering as a future pathway.
