Recently, a few Y9 Music students at TGA had an incredible opportunity to work with rapper Xidus Pain in an energetic composition and song writing workshop. During the session, students explored freestyle and hip-hop, developing their creativity and confidence as they wrote and shared their own raps.
Xidus also introduced the “Microphone of Peace”, a powerful symbol made from melted-down guns and designed by American students to raise awareness of gun violence in the USA. This unique microphone is currently travelling the world and will eventually be displayed at the Museum of Hip Hop in Brazil.
Throughout the workshop, TGA students truly embodied The Gainsborough Way, showing determination, creativity, and open-mindedness as they embraced new musical styles and challenges.
