Recently, seven students were awarded their Gold Pledge Award for Active Citizenship. To achieve the Gold Award, students need to have gone above and beyond and sought out their own opportunities. These are the first Gold Awards presented this academic year.
The Pledge Awards support students in developing personal skills and attributes, and broadening their horizons. They empower students to become confident, well rounded, enthusiastic, caring, and happy people, ready for the wider world. These students have all recently taken part in Gainsborough Fire Cadets and took part in a ceremony, as they completed their initial program. The students have learnt a wide range of skills, and worked together as a team, showing all the values of The Gainsborough Way.
