Taking to the skies in an engineless aircraft isn’t for everyone – but for one student at The Gainsborough Academy, it’s sparked an exciting new journey.
Following a recent STEM visit to Darton Airfield, Izabelle has been awarded a £500 bursary to support her training towards becoming a licensed glider pilot. Her enthusiasm and potential stood out during the visit, and this bursary will help her take the next steps in becoming a licenced Glider Pilot.
Opportunities like this are part of Wickersley Partnership Trust’s Enrichment Promise, which ensures all students across our Trust can access meaningful experiences beyond the classroom. From trips and cultural visits to clubs and activities, the programme is designed to broaden horizons and inspire future aspirations.
