Science Club

This week, our Y7 Science Club members had a fantastic time in Eureka Science Club with Miss Cooper!

They explored exothermic reactions and catalysts through the amazing Elephant Toothpaste experiment. Using yeast as a catalyst, they broke down hydrogen peroxide and released a huge amount of oxygen gas which, when trapped by soap, created that incredible foaming tower!

It was an exciting and memorable way to see how catalysts speed up chemical reactions in real time. Well done to all our budding scientists for their enthusiasm and safe handling of materials!
