Last week, around 150 Year 7 students from Gainsborough Academy visited Skills Street in Sheffield to explore a wide range of careers through interactive, hands-on activities. Throughout the day, students experienced careers in the aerospace industry, engineering, the NHS, performing arts, and construction, taking part in practical challenges such as solving engineering problems, performing CPR, creating short performances, and working together on construction tasks.
It was a fantastic opportunity for students to develop their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while learning about different career pathways. Our students were a real credit to the school, demonstrating The Gainsborough Way throughout the visit. Well done, everyone!
